The Road Less Traveled

There is the wide road used by most people of this world and there is the narrow way, the Road Less Traveled. This blog is about experiences, people and places on the narrow path. I lived and worked in North Africa for many years. That is my outer journey. But my inner journey is spiritual, global and universal. In 2012, I moved to the Golden Triangle region of SE Asia (Laos, Myanmar, Thailand). I have started a whole new adventure. Come join me on the Road Less Traveled. Without and within.

Blind leading the blind

It saddens me when i encounter people who do not think. They do not use their brains. All they do is listen to a big mouth, believe it without question, and do not investigate the matter themselves.

They hear about a terrible cartoon from someone. "Yes, blasphemous!" They tell another person, and add some more details. Then, that one passes the story on, and adds other things. Has anyone actually seen the cartoons?

It's like the 'telephone game' we used to play as kids. We start with a sentence, i.e., "the brown fox jumped over the fence,"and whisper it in the ear of the next kid in line, he hears it once and turns to whisper it to the next one. And on it goes until the end of the line of 10 kids. By the time it reaches the 10th kid, the sentence has become "the round ox up rover the ants." It has become completely distorted.
