A New King
Living in a country where there lives and reigns a monarchy is so different than the USA. There is a continuity from the last king spanning 70 years, and a dynasty of 400 years. For one thing, there is a sense of being part of a bigger picture than you the individual, whether commoner or king. One is part of a dynasty. Kings live and die as they are mortal, although in the Buddhist or Hindu cosmology, reincarnation means you could be connected with other persons of history.
There is one king who ever lives and reigns forever. He was incarnated, divinity in human flesh and dwelt among us, he lived, performed miracles, died, and rose again from the dead.
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made, without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." - John 1:1-5
