I lived and worked in North Africa for many years. That is my outer journey. But my inner journey is spiritual, global and universal. Double Bonus Points

Karima is going for "double bonus points" in her quest to reach heaven. She is doing the Ramadan-style fast for another week after Ramadan.

I recall an egg vendor telling me this at the suq (open market).

"Fasting the week after Ramadan is worth double bonus points. I tell you, you get a lot more merit with allah and a better chance to get into heaven." He was being sincere.

Try to find an average American doing that?!
