When is the Eid?

Leila went to the dentist yesterday.
Feeling friendly and proper, she said to the two receptionists (plus the receptionists' girlfriend who were hanging around*), "Blessed Eid (holy-day)"

Two of the girls** answered reflexively, "And also to you, blessed Eid."

However, the third girl** asked with a puzzled look, "But when is it the Eid?"

Meanwhile, at school, the administration issued a notice written in Arabic:

"The Eid al-Fitr vacation will be from 29 Ramadan*** to 2 or 3 Shuwal***. If the Eid is on Saturday, school will resume on Monday. If the Eid is on Sunday, school will resume on Tuesday."

The reason for the uncertainty is because "Ramadan" (fast) began not on 1st Ramadan, but on 2nd Ramadan. The reason it began on 2nd Ramadan is because the moon was not visible the night before.

Does anyone know when the Eid is?

** = The culture states that girls are single, unmarried and properly virgin females. It doesn't matter how old they are. Women are married.

*** = Ramadan and Shuwal are names in the Muslim Lunar calendar, which is about 11 days shorter than the Western Solar calendar.
