With daily al-jazeera news TV spouting PC views on the Middle East since 2001, it's not surprising that there are Moroccans interested in al-Qaeda. Whereas I don't hear people actually stating violent intentions against the US and the West, they definitely criticize the Iraq war, sympathize with Palestinians, and express their hated of Jews. So, if you're looking for anti-Semitism, it's all over here.

Arrested terrorists were planning attacks on Brussels, says report

Rabat, 5 June (AKI) - An alleged al-Qaeda cell which was disbanded last month in Nador and Fes, in northern Morocco, was planning to carry out attacks on the headquarters of the European Union and the Sheraton Hotel in Brussels.
This is according to security sources in Morocco's capital Rabat who were cited in the London-based Arabic-language newspaper al-Sharq al-Awsat.
The 11 suspected terrorists who were arrested by the police in a security operation are believed to have wanted to import arms from Belgium to hit tourist attractions and institutional targets in Morocco.
The information about the terrorists was allegedly gathered after the authorities interrogated Habib Bin Ali, the suspected leader of the group. It is believed that he is a young man born in 1981 in Nador, who emigrated to Belgium together with this family.
Before planning the series of attacks, he tried to go to Iraq to join other al-Qaeda fighters but he was refused entry by the authorities and for this reason he decided to return to Belgium.
Currently he is detained in the jail in Sila, near Rabat, and before he was arrested he was allegedly the point of reference for Moroccans who want to go to Iraq to fight together with al-Qaeda.
His representatives in Belgium are an Islamic Salafite group which lives in the country and includes two Moroccans and a Tunisian.
Some of the 11 terrorists allegedly decided to kill a conjurer in Nador whom they considered a non-believer.
Some of the other alleged terrorists wanted to kill foreigners in particular and others wanted to join the al-Qaeda training camps in Algeria.
