Boston Marathon Runners
Being a former runner, I enjoy following the Boston Marathon as much as I can, even from overseas. With internet, it's so easy. Not surprisingly, Robert Cheruiyot, a Kenyan, won for the 4th time. Perhaps the surprise was two Moroccans placed 2nd and 3rd, no small feat given that Ethiopians were 4th and 5th, and a gaggle of Kenyans followed after. The first American was 10th. I've noticed the rise of Moroccan middle and long-distance runners. Seems that it's not just East Africans who excell at marathons, but North Africans. Go Morocco!
I salute you, Africans for excelling in this wondrous athletic sport. I salute you all for running the marathon.
Isn't life a marathon? Endurance, perseverance, gutting it out tough, not giving up, and finishing...
